Pricing and Fees | Legally.fi

Pricing and Fees

Legally.fi applies transparent, professional pricing practices consistent with Finnish legal and consulting services. Fees depend on the nature, scope, urgency, and complexity of the assignment. All fee arrangements are explained and agreed before substantive work begins.

Hourly Rates

Unless otherwise agreed, legal and advisory work is billed on an hourly basis.

Service categoryHourly rate (excl. VAT)
Legal advisory and consultations€250
Immigration, residence permits, citizenship matters€250
Administrative and court proceedings€250
Business, corporate, and contractual matters€250
Regulatory, compliance, and authority correspondence€250

Value added tax (VAT) is added at the applicable statutory rate (currently 25.5 percent).

Hourly billing is typically used where the scope of work cannot be reliably defined in advance, or where flexibility is required due to evolving facts or authority requests.

Fixed Fees and Case-Based Pricing

For certain assignments, a fixed fee or capped fee may be agreed once the scope of the matter is sufficiently clear. This is common in structured applications, appeals, and defined business procedures.

Official fees (e.g., PRH/Trade Register) are billed separately.

Fixed fees are agreed only after sufficient information has been reviewed. If the scope later changes materially, fees may be adjusted by agreement.

Consultations

Consultations are used to assess the situation, explain legal options, and determine the appropriate next steps.

Consultation typeFee (excl. VAT)Payment terms
Standard consultation€250Paid in advance

Consultations are paid before the appointment takes place. No substantive legal work is commenced without payment confirmation.

Payment Terms and Invoicing

  • Invoices are issued with a standard payment term of 7 days unless otherwise agreed
  • Advance payments may be required for longer or complex matters
  • Work may be suspended if invoices remain unpaid
  • All invoices itemize the work performed
Payment terms and billing structure may be adjusted by written agreement depending on the nature of the assignment.

Legal Aid (Oikeusapu)

In cases where a client is unable to afford legal services, representation may be provided under the Finnish legal aid system (oikeusapu), subject to eligibility and acceptance of the case.

Legal aid arrangements are always agreed in advance. If a matter is accepted, the appointed lawyer submits the legal aid application on behalf of the client.

  • Initial consultations and assessments are not covered by legal aid
  • Legal aid applies only to the accepted scope of the matter
  • Coverage may be partial and subject to statutory deductibles
  • The scope of covered work is defined by the legal aid decision

Legal aid typically covers legal advice, document preparation, authority correspondence, and representation within the limits set by the applicable decision.

Fee Transparency and Agreement

Before any significant work begins, the applicable fee structure, scope of work, and billing method are explained clearly. Legally.fi does not proceed with substantive assignments without mutual understanding of costs and responsibilities.
